The Challenge

The homeowner wanted a bathroom that felt intentional — not just updated, but designed. The existing space was functional but generic: no visual identity, no finish cohesion, nothing that made the room worth walking into. The goal was a full gut-and-rebuild that delivered a spa-adjacent aesthetic within the footprint of a standard residential bathroom, without over-complicating the palette. The constraint: make it feel high-end while keeping every material choice working together across tile, stone, hardware, and lighting.

Our Approach

Brothers Construction Group executed a complete bathroom remodel anchored by a strict black-and-white material system. The shower enclosure was rebuilt with large-format marble-look porcelain tile — floor-to-ceiling vertical stack — paired with a matte black framed surround, ceiling-mount rain head, and hand-held shower wand on a slide bar. A patterned niche insert in a Moroccan-style encaustic tile adds a detail moment inside the shower without breaking the overall monochrome discipline. The shower floor uses a solid black tile to ground the enclosure and contrast against the white walls. The bathroom floor is the room's standout material decision: a grey-on-white encaustic patterned tile laid wall-to-wall, pulling a decorative thread that connects the shower niche detail to the broader space. The vanity features a natural marble slab countertop with heavy grey veining, an undermount rectangular sink, and a matte black wall-mount faucet with an articulated arm. An LED-backlit mirror provides ambient perimeter lighting that eliminates harsh shadows and adds a subtle layer of depth to the vanity zone. White shaker cabinetry beneath keeps the storage clean and visually recessive.

The Result

A bathroom that photographs like a boutique hotel suite and functions like one too. The material hierarchy is clear — patterned floor, clean walls, marble stone, black metal — and every element reinforces it. Nothing competes, nothing is accidental.
